Again and Again…
“…challenging words need to be repeated, again and again. Otherwise, we are prone to forget.”
― John Philip Newell
As we celebrate the Summer Solstice today, we turn our gaze to the second half of another intense year.
While we don’t have control of much in our world, we can direct our attention to words and images that inspire and challenge us, rather than frighten or anger us.
Perhaps that’s why John Philip Newell’s words in his book, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul, captured me as I was preparing for the last session of my book group.
“When we see in new ways and have the courage to speak it, we access a deep power of the soul. In the Celtic world from the earliest centuries, speech was viewed as our greatest strength, greater than any physical force. True words hold a mighty energy for change.”
― John Philip Newell
Do you have a favorite quote that serves as a mantra or touchstone for you during stressful times? Perhaps at this time of transition, when the sun is at its zenith, you might choose to speak those or new words that resonate with you.
Repeated again and again, like the turning of a wheel, these powerful words just might help you reach a destination you’ve been longing for.
May you be inspired to listen to and speak words of wisdom that give you the courage to boldly move forward in the direction of your dreams.

Happy Summer Solstice!
Looking at Words
All Are Welcome
“We are made for goodness. We are made for love…We are made for all of the beautiful things that you and I know. We are made to tell the world that there are no outsiders…all are welcome.”
― Desmond Tutu
Perhaps these might be the words you choose to repeat again and again this summer…
