How Mindfulness Can Help You Cultivate Your Capacity for Joy with Alice Lottes, Ph.D.

Three Tuesday Evenings, October 10th, 17th, & 24th
6:30pm to 7:45pm Central
Via Zoom

“Joy is not about happy or unhappy, liking or disliking. Joy is accepting each moment for what it is without contention. We belong to any moment simply by meeting it with joy. This is freedom. Love is the ultimate expression of joy and freedom. Joy, freedom, and love could be considered synonyms for each other, and for belonging.”
– Sebene Selasse, Everything Belongs

In this 3-week series we will explore how meditation and contemplation contribute to the cultivation, recognition, and expression of joy in your life. Each session will include guided meditation, a short teaching/reading, a prompt for internal reflection and expression, a time to share (optional) and end with a time of silence.

Themes for Each Week:

  • Week 1: Transformation
  • Week 2:  Expression
  • Week 3:  Blessings of Joy

What a blessing it will be to come together with others whose hearts are on this spiritual journey and who are available to meet in this series. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or an experienced practitioner, come be in community as we engage the gift of mindfulness meditation to open to more joy.
