Regina Moser: Set the Intention
Hi, my name is Regina Moser, I am a spiritual director and yoga instructor.
I’ve been asked to share a simple practice. You can choose to stand or be seated. Bring your hands to prayer position at the heart center, holding your hands, pressing one against the other.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Exhale it out.
As we pause and come together, set a prayer intention. That intention might be for help, for healing, for peace or forgiveness. Set the intention knowing that you can come back to it throughout this practice and throughout this day.
Nice deep breath in. Exhale out. Beautiful.
Gently interlace your fingers. Draw your arms above your head. Release through your shoulders. Your eyes can be open or closed. You can stay still or choose gentle movement. Listen to your body. Take care of you.
Noticing what feels right, take care of you.
Gently bring your hands back, and then as you inhale and exhale, release your fingers, float your hands down.
Wonderful.
Roll the shoulders back and around, bringing your hands to prayer position at the heart center. Nice. Deep breath in. Exhale it out. Bring your prayer intention to mine. And as you exhale, release your hands down and as you inhale, draw the arms up above your head.
Flow with your breath. Listening to your body exhaling down. Inhaling. Draw the arms up above your head below with your breath. Listening to your body. Yeah. One last time. Release the hands down. Inhale. Draw the arms up above your head. Coming back to heart center. Nice deep breath in. Exhale it out.
Go ahead, step your feet apart. You’re going to come into a swaying tree. Feel the gentle bend in your knees. Release your hands so your hands can float free or gently touch your body. Notice what feels right for you today. Gently touching or flowing freely. Noticing taking care of you. Gently come back to center. Inhale. Draw the arms up above your head. Release through the shoulders. Nice deep breath in. Exhale it out. Gently bring your hands to prayer position at the heart center and as you exhale, release down. Take a nice deep breath in. Exhale it out. Hold your prayer intention in mind. Take your prayer intention with you.
I thank you for sharing this practice. Peace be with you.
