Stream of Grace…

 In Reflections

“I do not at all understand the mystery of grace—only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.”
—Anne Lamott

As spring begins to arrive in fits and starts around the northern hemisphere, the greening we witness in nature has the potential to take hold within each of us too.

While we can push our way into growth, the mystery of grace can gently guide us (or redirect us) into the vitality and flow of life. In her poem, Body Psalm for Grace, Celeste Snowber beautifully describes this unseen force:

You cannot stop the life stream—
Only enhance its surge.
Listen for the sound
Of grace inhabiting
The map of your path.

How might you “enhance its surge” this spring? In moments of silence and reflection, I invite you to ponder where grace is calling you to flow your energy right now.

May you fully open to the potential of spring and listen for the sound of grace.

God’s Grace

“If you depend on God’s grace there is no such thing as impossible.”
—Sri Chinmoy

The Collective Heart

“Connected to the collective heart, you can be certain in every cell of your being that you are never alone, and you will experience the grace, guidance and ease that comes when you are one with all there is.” –Debbie Ford

Body Psalm for Grace

(Excerpt)

Know there is a flow
Working within the vessels
Of your life and blood
Through each spiritual artery and vein
which has a current all its own.

You cannot stop the life stream—
Only enhance its surge.
Listen for the sound
Of grace inhabiting
The map of your path.

Let what is unseen carry you
In its crest and
Give in to the wave
Of the ebb and flow
of your own pulse.

—Celeste Snowber, first three stanzas of her poem, Body Psalm for Grace, featured in The Wisdom of the Body by Christine Valters Paintner. (links take you to GoodReads.com)
