The Eleanor Jordan Program Scholarship Fund

Although Eleanor Jordan passed away on October 28, 2018, her love of Eremos lives on in the Program Scholarship Fund created in her honor and memory by a generous, anonymous donor.

A lifelong learner and generous spirit, Eleanor was a dedicated professor of Management Information Systems at The University of Texas for many years. Her passion for learning and giving carried over into her spiritual life and she found a spiritual home in Eremos.  She particularly loved the Sparkies Journaling Group, the Sisters of Diversity ongoing group, and the Book Reflections led by founder, Jean Springer.

Eremos is blessed to have a rich array of offerings and people interested in attending them. Sometimes financial challenges get in the way of people saying ‘yes’ to learning and exploring. Now, anyone who seeks a partial scholarship* because of financial difficulty has the opportunity to attend the Eremos programs of their choice.

Thanks to the generosity of the founding donor, the Eleanor Jordan Program Scholarship Fund makes sure no one is turned away from an event because of financial hardship.

Please make a contribution today to ensure this Scholarship Fund – and the people it serves – flourish for years to come.

* Eremos believes that participants should make a small investment, as they’re able, in any program they attend, with the scholarship funding the difference. This energy exchange also serves to enable the fund dollars to stretch farther, so more people may be served. In addition, there are a few programs (like weekend retreats) the costs of which require us to limit the number of scholarships per event. Otherwise, there is no program excluded from access to scholarship resources.
